Advent & Christmas Events

November 28 — First Sunday of Advent — Peace

Hanging of the Greens

Sermon: Praying for Peace, Isaiah 2:1-5, Psalm 122

After worship, we’ll gather for a pitch-in luncheon. Chicken & dumplings will be provided, please bring a salad, bread or dessert to share. Then we’ll decorate the sanctuary by hanging the greens, putting up the tree, stringing lights and more. Children are especially encouraged to help us string popcorn and berries for a special old-fashioned look this year. Along the way, we’ll sing some Christmas carols and hear some stories about the meaning of our various decorations.
